National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER - Raebareli) is an autonomous body which has been established under the aegis of the Department of pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in the Government of India, to provide leadership in pharmaceutical Sciences and other related areas. It admits students for M.S (Pharm), programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Regulatory Toxicology and Biotechnology every year. Ph.D programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology & Toxicology started from 2017 and in Biotechnology from 2021.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Title : Evaluation of the Neuroprotective Potential of SERCA Activators in Experimental Models of Cerebral Ischemia
Funding Agency : Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), New Delhi
Duration : 1 year (co-terminus with project funding)
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000 per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per SERB guidelines
Essential Qualifications : M.S. Pharm./M.Pharm./M.Tech.(Pharm.)/MD (Pharmacology), MVSc. (Pharmacology/ Pathology/ Biotechnology) with a minimum 60% aggregate or 6.75 CGPA. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-NET /UGC-JRF/GATE will be preferred. Candidates without NET/GATE qualifications may be appointed as junior research fellows if found suitable.
Experience : Prior research experience in related areas e.g., hands-on experience in animal experimentations, MCAO model, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA isolation, qPCR, Immunoblotting) is desirable.
Upper age Limit : 28 yrs. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/ women and physically disabled candidates.

2. The above post is purely temporary and is a co-terminus with the project.
3. The interview will be held tentatively on 16 August 2024 at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Raebareli Bijnor-Sisendi Road, Sarojini Nagar, Near CRPF Base Camp, Lucknow.

7. The position may be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) based on experience, performance, and availability of funds
