Career for Ph.D or M.Pharm, MSc, MTech as Research Associate at Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, Punjab, an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed.

Advertisement for engagement of Project Research Associate (RA) under the DST funded project at Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Highly motivated and bright candidates are invited for walk-in-Interview for engagement of Project Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the research project funded by International Cooperation Division of Department of Science and Technology.
Title of the Research Project : Development of piezoelectric enabled nanocomposite integrated microfluidic platform for self-powered devices

Essential Qualification : Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree in Chemical Engg/ Mechanical Engg/ Chemistry/Physics/Materials Science/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and other related arrears or having 3 year of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm//ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
Desirable Experience : Experience in microfluidics and/or COMSOL/ANSYS for flow simulations will be preferred.
Age limit : Must not be over 35 years as on 03.09.2024, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Fellowship : Rs. 47,000/- (pm) + HRA (8%)
Project duration : Initially for one year and may be extended for another year based on performance of the candidate.
Special Opportunity : Since this is an international project, the selected candidate may have the opportunity to avail fully funded research trip to Malaysia and Philippines for more than 10 days each, subject to the approval of competent authority, availability of funds and approval of visa etc.

• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
