Post : Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) to work on the Department of Biotechnology (DBT-GOI) funded research projects at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with the project.

Project title : Can β-glucan-induced gut microbiome metabolites improve PCOS symptoms? An experimental and clinical study Minimum Qualifications :
• M. Sc. in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university/institute.
• Should be qualified any national level examination (such as NET / GATE qualified)
• Candidate should have 2 years of research experience.
Key Responsibilities :
• Conduct high-quality research on the metabolites produced by human gut bacteria andtheir effects on PCOS.
• Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and researchers.
• Present research findings at meetings and in publications.
• Assist in mentoring junior researchers and students.
• Contribute to grant writing and other funding applications as required. Desirable Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience with gut microbiota research or PCOS-related studies.
• Knowledge of metabolomics techniques and technologies.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and statistical software.
Age Limit : Up to 35 years on closing date of advertisement
Fellowship Duration : The post is purely temporary for 3 years/ subject to releasing of funds.
Fellowship : INR 42,000 plus 9% HRA as per sanctioned project.
