NIPER Ahmedabad was initiated with three specializations Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics and over the period of time three more specializations Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology and Toxicology were added in 2010. Subsequently in 2011, to cater the needs of Medical device industry in India, another feather was added to the cap of NIPER Ahmedabad in the form of specialization in Medical Devices.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for temporary Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the project funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST) –Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) Core Research Grant (CRG). The position is temporary and the offer will be initially for a period of ONE Year that can be extended further based on the performance and will be co terminus with the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc. for each project are given below.
ProjectTitle / area : Exercise Imitating anti-microRNA Lipodendriplex for the Prevention and Treatment of Obesity
Principle investigator (PI) : Dr. Rakesh Kumar Tekade Associate Professor & Head of the Department Department of Pharmaceutics National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Ahmedabad
Qualification : • M.Sc./ M.S / M.Tech / M.Pharm in Bioengineering / Biotechnology / Biomedical Engineering / Biochemistry / Biochemical engineering / Pharmacology / Pharmaceutics / Life Sciences
Experience required
Candidates with clear evidence and independent in experiments dealing with Following :
• Mammalian Cell culture handling, Agarose gel electrophoresis, qRT-PCR, western blot, RNA isolation, etc
• Experience in handling small animals (Rat/ Mouse), histopathological staining, immunohistochemistry, etc.

Fellowship : Rs.31000 + 24% HRA (JRF, As per DST SERB norms)
