Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was d under the Parliamentary legislation - B.H.U. Act 1915. It played a stellar role in the independence movement and has developed into the greatest center of learning in India.
Applications are invited for the following post in the DBT-BIRAC funded project entitled “Novel essential oil formulations in combating storage fungi, aflatoxins and insects”, sanctioned for 1.5 years. The posts are temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Research Associate (1 Post)
Upper age limit : 32 Years
Qualification : Essential: M.Sc. in Botany / Life Science / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Agriculture / Zoology with three years of research experience or Ph.D. in any branch of life science / Agriculture
Desirable : Knowledge of microbial analysis of food/ stored food insects
Monthly salary (consolidated) : Rs. 40,000/-
Project Assistant (1 Post)
Upper age limit : 28 Years
Qualification : Essential : M.Sc. in Botany / Life Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry
Desirable : NET/ GATE qualified
Monthly salary (consolidated) : Rs. 25,000/-
