IISERs were created through a proclamation of Ministry of Education, Government of India, to promote quality education and research in science and related areas. The first two IISERs (Pune and Kolkata) were established in 2006. This was followed by an Institute at Mohali (2007), Bhopal & Trivandrum (2008), Tirupati (2015), and Berhampur (2016). IISERs were incorporated as Institutions of National Importance under the umbrella of the NIT (Amendment) Act, 2012 (NIT Act 2007). The Act was further amended in 2014, entitled the NITSER ACT 2014. Each IISER is a degree-granting autonomous institute.

Project Title : “DISSECTING MOLECULAR MECHANISM UNDERLYING HOST-INDUCED MACROPINOCYTOSIS IN THE ENTERIC PARASITE, ENTAMOEBA HISTOLYTICA"
Department : Biological Sciences
Project Tenure : 3 years (Initially for 1 year on contractual basis)
Job Description : The research fellow will work on the project with his/her knowledge on analytical biochemistry, specifically enzyme Kinetics”
Essential Qualification : The minimum qualifications are BS 4 years programme / BPharm / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / M.Sc./ BE / BTech or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.(As per CSIR Guidelines for Research Scheme/Sponsored Schemes/ Emeritus Scientist Pl. refer to CSIR-HRDG
Age Limit : JRF-28Yrs.
Age relaxation : The upper age limit is relax-able up-to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging To scheduled castes /tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Fellowship : Junior Research Fellow(JRF)-Rs.31,000/- p.m.
