Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963 and was renamed as Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.

Education Qualification : Candidate should have M.Sc. or M.Tech in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Chemistry / relevant engineering disciplines. The candidate should have first division in postgraduate degree. M.Sc candidates should have valid NET / GATE qualification.
Required Skills:
i) Experience in generating aptamers OR work experience in working on circulating tumor cells or animal cell culture and handling OR experience in molecular biology assays, PCR, multiplexed PCR and good hands-on experience with microbiology/cell culture in BSL2 and above setup Candidates not having these skillsets need not apply
ii) Experience in circuit design, PCB designing and fabrication, Microcontroller programming, Mikro C and C programming, Lab VIEW interfacing, Raspberry/Ardumo programming, signal acquisition and conditioning, online signal filtering, Solidwroks and CAD designing, 3D printing
iii) Having worked on biosensor technology with optical transducer system and any publication as first/joint author shall be added advantage. Candidates with good track record during the project may further be considered for enrolment to regular Ph.D. program of the institute
The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF/SRF may be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).
