CSMCRI with much scientific excitement has now achieved technological excellence with several granted patents in the core mandate of the institute and is one among the top performing national R&D laboratories in the country. At the beginning of 2011, the Institute has around 360 staff with 150 S&T staff on its roll and around 250 research fellows and project assistants pursing their doctoral programme.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification(s) : M.Sc. in Chemistry with GATE / CSIR-UGC NET (LS).
Desirable : Junior Research Fellowship (CSIR-UGC), experience on organic chemistry and/or knowledge on supramolecular chemistry.
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- p.m. plus HRA as admissible.
Age : Maximum 28 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Institute rules.
Duration of the project : This position is purely temporary for the project duration. Therefore, it would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI. Initial appointment is for one year.
Job Description : Selected candidate will work on SERB-funded SERB POWER GRANT (SPG) entitled: Functionalized s-Heptazine containing materials and their Applications in CO2 Utilization. The main objective of this project is to construct s-Heptazine based systems and their functionalization (metal-free and metallated systems) for their applications as heterogeneous catalyst in the utilization of CO2 for various value added products like cyclic carbonates, polycarbonates and so on.
