JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate-I for the DST/TDT/BDTD funded project entitled ‘Development of a device for the detection of the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, causal agent of Extra Pulmonary Tuberculosis’
Qualification : PhD/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent Degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal
Job Description :
1. Design and the development of the device for early detection of Extra Pulmonary Tuberculosis
2. Assist the Principal Investigator in research activities
Essentials
1. MSc, PhD in Microbiology
2. Experience in Molecular Studies on Extra Pulmonary Tuberculosis
Desirable qualifications
3. Experience in designing the device for the detection of the pathogen if any.
4. Good knowledge over molecular techniques (PCR, Primer Designing etc)
5. Good knowledge on Molecular Docking studies
6. Patent/s filed if any
7. Basics of Electricals and Electronics
Emoluments : Consolidated fellowship of Rs. 47,000/- including HRA per month (HRA as per Central Government norms applicable in the city). For the period of 2 years.
