Regional Medical Research Centre, NE, Dibrugarh is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research. The Centre was established on 12th day of July in the year 1982. It covers the most remote and less developed eight states of the north-eastern region of India and is responsible for carrying out Biomedical Research in the region and runs with intramural grant from ICMR and extramural adhoc projects from different funding agencies.
Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for the following temporary posts under “Establishment of Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU) in the State of Assam” and “Establishment of Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU) in the State of Tripura” implemented by ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, N. E. Region, Dibrugarh, Assam.
Scientist C (Medical)
No. of post : 2 (1-Assam 1-Tripura)
Essential Qualification : Post graduate degree (MD/MS) after MBBS from a recognized university with 1 (one) years R&D/ Teaching experience Or Postgraduate diploma in Medical subjects after MBBS from a recognized university/institution with 2 (two) years R&D/ Teaching experience Or MBBS degree recognized by MCI with 4 (four) years R&D/ Teaching experience in medical subjects after MBBS Degree
Desirable Qualification : i) MD in Medicine/ Community Medicine/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry or any other subjects in Medical Science.
ii) Additional Post - doctoral research / teaching experience in medical subjects in recognized institute(s)
iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools /Data Management
Age limit : Not exceeding 40 years
Salary : Rs. 67,000/- + HRA per month (consolidated)
Scientist C (Non - Medical)
No. of post : 1 (1-Tripura)
Essential Qualification : First class Master’s degree in Public Health/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Life Science from a recognized university with 4 (four) years R&D/ Teaching experience in relevant field. Or Second class M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in Public Health/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Science from a recognized university with 4 (four) years R&D/ Teaching experience in relevant field.
Desirable Qualification : i) Doctorate Degree in Public Health/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Science from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree.
ii) Additional post-doctoral research/ teaching experience in Public Health/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry / Life Science in recognized institute(s)
iii) Knowledge of Computer Application or Business Intelligence tools/ Data management
Age limit : Not exceeding 40 years
Salary : Rs. 67,000/- + HRA per month (consolidated)

6. The candidate will have to stay and work in any other places of North East India wherever posted/transferred in connection with the scheme/project work as deemed necessary.
