The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963.

Applications are invited on a plain paper for the contractual post of Editorial Assistant in Indian Journal of Pharmacology (IJP) under Prof. Bikash Medhi, Chief Editor (Indian Pharmacological Society), Department of Pharmacology, PGIMER. Chandigarh-160012. The post is pure on temporary basis.
Qualification : First Class Master’s Degree in Pharmacology / Life-Sciences from a recognized university
Desirable : Experience in the Research field or scientific writing. Candidates with proficiency in computer application will be preferred.
Age : As per GOI rules
Pay Scale : Rs. 15,000/- per month (consolidated)
The above appointment will be purely on temporary basis. Interested candidates fulfilling the above conditions are required to submit their bio-data and necessary testimonials/certificates by 10th September before 05:00 pm, in the Department of Pharmacology, Room No. 4043, Research Block B, 4th Floor, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
