The main mandate of IBSD is Conservation and Sustainable Utilization of Bioresources for the socio-economic Development of the North East Region of India, which is a genetic treasure trove of plants, animals and microbial resources.

Essential Qualification : Ph.D in Life Sciences or Pharmacy from a recognized university with three years of experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organization and scientific activities and services. Desirable: Candidate with experience in natural product research.
