National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.At the time of its golden jubilee in 1969, it was renamed as National Institute of Nutrition (NIN).

Senior Research Fellow (Non-Medical) - 1 post
Title of the study/ Project : Assist for updation of NIN popular publication such as Count what you eat, some common Indian Recipes and their Nutritive Values, Nutrition for Mother and Child, dietary Tips for the Elderly, Menus for Low-Cost balance Diets and School Lunch Programmes, Low cost Nutritious supplements.
Essential Qualifications : 1st Class M.Sc (Nutrition/Dietetics) with at least two years research experience in the relevant area
Desirable : PhD/Experience in writing research publications / manuscripts
Age : Below 35 years.
Consolidated Salary / Stipend : Rs.35,000/- plus HRA.
Tenure : One year, extendable for one more year based on the performance
Place of work : ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad.

Senior Research Fellow (Non-Medical) - 1 post
Title of the study/ Project : Integrated Preconception and Responsive Care giving Intervention for Health Pregnancy and Infant outcomes required to be started.
Essential Qualifications : 1st Class M.Sc (Nutrition) with at least two years research experience in the community nutrition
Desirable : PhD/Experience in writing research publications / manuscripts
Age : Below 35 years.
Consolidated Salary / Stipend : Rs.35,000/- plus HRA.
Tenure : One year, extendable for one more year based on the performance
Place of work : ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad.

Senior Research Fellow (Non-Medical) - 1 post
Title of the study/ Project : 1st Class M.Sc (Chemistry/Biochemistry/Nutrition) with at least two years research experience in the relevant area
Essential Qualifications : 1st Class M.Sc (Nutrition) with at least two years research experience in the community nutrition
Desirable : Minimum two years research experience in pesticide residues analysis using LC-MS/MS instruments
Age : Below 35 years.
Consolidated Salary / Stipend : Rs.35,000/- plus HRA.
Tenure : One year, extendable for one more year based on the performance
Place of work : ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad.
