Job for Biotechnologist in National Reference Laboratory project at NJIL&OMD

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following project position for the project entitled “National Reference Laboratory (NRL)” a long term project under National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP).The project is funded by Central TB Division, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and executing agency is ICMR- NJIL&OMD, Agra.

Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph D. in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology and three years of work experience in TB Bacteriology/ Biotechnology / Molecular Biology
or
M.Sc. Biotechnology / Molecular Biology and five years of work experience in TB Bacteriology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology

Age limit : Maximum 65 years.

Consolidated Emoluments : Rs. 65,000/- P.M. fixed without any other allowances at present

Nature of duties : To provide support in planning, scaling up of quality assured molecular testing and sequencing facility at NRL and linked IRLs & C-DST- Labs and as per NTEP’s needs which requires frequent travel

Place of work : ICMR-NJIL&OMD, Agra

Tenure : One year and extendable based on performance & requirement

5. Laboratory Science pertaining to Tuberculosis, DNA Sequencing and Analysis

Selection Procedure : Interview will be conducted for the eligible candidates. However, if more number of candidates are found eligible for the above position advertised, written test may also be conducted on the same day for final round of interview.

The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualifications (from SSC onwards), experience, Aadhaar Card, Community and PH Certificates along with one set of photocopies of the same duly attested (can be self-attested) along with a passport size photograph for attending the Written Test / Interview. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the Written Test / Interview. The recruited project staff are / is eligible for leave as per rules and will have to give an undertaking / medical fitness certificate and any other document as required before joining.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: The conditions of employment will be same as that of the project staff on contract basis. The candidates have no right to claim for any regular employment at this institute. The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason (s) and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained. Age, qualifications, experience etc. will be reckoned as on the date of Walk-in- Written Test / Interview.

NOTE:- No Electronic devices including Calculator and Mobile phones are allowed while entering JALMA campus except Pen / Pencil eraser / writing pad.

Application will be received from the individuals on the date 18-08-2020 between 9:30 A M. and 11:30 A M. in the Auditorium Hall at ICMR-NJIL&OMD, Agra for Walk-in-Written Test / Interview. Late applications will not be entertained after 11:30 A.M. under any circumstances. The Application form will be provided to the candidates at NJIL&OMD on the date of Walk-in-Written Test/ Interview.
