Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed. The institute is currently operating from its transit campus at Habitat Centre, Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab.

Highly motivated and bright candidates are required for the position of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Assistant (PA) in the research project funded by DBT.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Assistant

Title of the Research Project: “Reconstitutable Lyophilized Plasmonic Semishells as Near Infra Red Photothermal Nanotransducers for Cancer Treatment”.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Asifkhan Shanavas, Scientist-C

Qualifications Essential:
JRF: M.Tech or M.Pharm without NET/GATE etc and MSc with GATE/NET etc
Project Assistant: For M.Sc without GATE/NET etc

Desirable: Experience in nanomaterial synthesis, bacterial/mammalian cell culture.

Age limit : Must not be over 28 years as on 29th August, 2019 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

Salary:
JRF: Rs.25,000/- + 10% HRA per month
Project Assistant: Rs.16,000/- + 10% HRA per month

Project duration: Initially Six months and may be extended till end of the project based upon the performance of the candidate and availability of funds

General Terms and Conditions:
1) The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project.
2) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3) Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of interview. Properly filled application form with recent photograph attached also should be presented at the time of interview.
