The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

Applications are invited for the position of One Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and One Research Scientist (RS) under industry sponsored research projects for Two years and One year, respectively in Bioactive Natural Product Laboratory, Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.
SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (FOR TWO YEARS)
Essential Qualifications: M. Pharm (Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry/ Pharmacology/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutics) with GPAT from top ranked Pharma Institutes of India
Desirable qualifications: Experience of working in herbal drug industry/ Plant drug analysis/ HPLC/ LCMS
Salary: Rs 25000-30000 (Consolidated) per month depending on experience
RESEARCH SCIENTIST
Essential Qualifications: M. Pharm with minimum two years working experience in any reputed pharma/ herbal industry well experienced for working on HPLC/ LCMS and animal handling
OR
Ph D in biological or chemical sciences with proof of high quality publications in herbal drug / Plant drug analysis/ HPLC/ LCMS/ biological activities
Salary: Rs 35000-40000 (Consolidated) per month depending on experience
The appointment will be made for an initial period of one year with the provision of further continuation, subject to satisfactory performance, for a maximum of two years period or the duration of the project whichever is earlier.
