Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’. The story of its growth from a small institution in the pre-independence India to a central university located in New Delhi—offering integrated education from nursery to research in specialized areas—is a saga of dedication, conviction and vision of a people who worked against all odds and saw it growing step by step. They “built up the Jamia Millia stone by stone and sacrifice by sacrifice,” said Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India.

A Walk-in-interview will be conducted on 21-September-2017 (Thursday) to select one Research assistant in the area of Bioinformatics, purely on contractual basis at Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Project title: In silico (molecular dynamic simulation) and in vitro approaches to understand counteraction of urea's effects on proteins by kidney osmolytes"

Essential Qualification (EQ): M.Sc. or M.Tech in any branch of Science with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
Desirable: Candidates having experience in molecular dynamic simulation, Computation Biology, and System Biology will be given preference.
The interested candidates may appear for interview with all their original certificates, mark sheets, experience certificate and attested photo copy of each of the documents and a recent passport size photograph as per the date and time given below. No TA/DA would be provided for attending interview. The candidates not fulfilling eligibility criteria wouldn’t be considered for selection process.
