National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. The Institute also plays a key role in man power resource development through trainings/workshops and transfer of technology.
Following positions are to be filled up on purely temporary and contractual basis for a period of four months under ICMR funded project entitled “A multi-centric study to estimate the seroprevalence of dengue, chikungunya and Japanese encephalitis virus infection in India”.
1. Scientist ‘B’ (Non Medical) - One (UR)–
On a contractual amount of Rs.48,000/- p.m.
Essential Qualifications: 1st Class Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university with 2 years experience in related field or 2nd class Master’s degree with Ph.D. in relevant subject from a recognized University.
Age – up to 35 yrs.
2. Project Assistant–One– (UR)-
On a contractual amount of Rs.31,000/-p.m
Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Science (Biology) subjects from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Biology subject.
Age – up to 30 yrs.
3. Project Technician – One (Field) UR - On a contractual amount of Rs.18,000/-p.m Essential Qualifications: 12th pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/laboratory experience *B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as three years experience.
Age – up to 30 yrs.
4. Project Technician – One (Lab) UR -
On a contractual amount of Rs.18,000/-p.m
Essential Qualifications: 12th pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years field/laboratory experience *B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as three years experience. Age – up to 30 yrs.
Age limit - Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. rules and also admissible for the candidates in deserving cases possessing experience of working in other research projects in Govt./Autonomous/ PSU etc.
Interested and eligible candidates may appeared for a walk in interview/test on 08.09.2017 at 09.30 a.m. for the posts of Scientist ‘B’ & Research Assistant and 01.30 p.m. for the posts of Project Technician III at above mentioned address along with Bio-data, one recent photograph, photocopies of the testimonials and also originals for verification. NOC from employer if employed will be required. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
*a written test will be conducted, if the numbers of eligible candidates are more than 30.
