Thapar University, (formerly Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology) is located in sprawling green campus comprising of more than 250 acres Thapar Technology Campus (TTC) in the historic city of Patiala.
Thapar University was established in 1956 through an imaginative and innovative collaboration between the then State of PEPSU (Patiala and East Punjab States Union), the Central Government and the Patiala Technical Education Trust (PTET) founded by one of the great captains of Indian Industry, the late Lala Karam Chand Thapar. Title of the project: Ruthenium catalyzed C–H bond activation strategy for C–C and C–X bond formation for biological active compounds
Duration: Three year
Emoluments: 25,000/- pm + HRA for first two years
28,000/- pm + HRA in the third year
Eligibility criteria:
JRF: M.Sc or equivalent degree with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.
SRF: M.Sc or equivalent degree and at least 2 years of post-MSc research experience as evident from published papers in standard refereed journals or M.Pharm or equivalent degree in relevant field with 55% marks.
RA: Possessing PhD degree
Age limit and Fellowship: As per CSIR rule
Desirable: Organic Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry
