BIT, Mesra is a "Deemed University" under Sec. 3 of the U.G.C. Act 1956. The Board of Governors is responsible for the main functions and overall supervision of activities. It comprises representatives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the U.G.C., the State Government, The Chancellor, the AICTE, The Hindustan Charity Trust and the Institute Faculty. Shri C.K. Birla is the Chairman of the Board of Governors while the Governor of the state of Jharkhand officiates as the Institute's Chancellor. There's a Technical Council that decides the academic policy of the Institute.
Applications are invited for Research Fellowships at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra under the scheme of “UGC-BSR Research Fellowships”.
Post: UGC-BSR Research Fellow
Essential Qualification: Master degree in Pharmacy, with a minimum of 60% marks for General candidates (55% in case of SC/ST candidates)and, 55% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience) at Master’s level. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in written and spoken English.
Duration of the Project: 5 Years
Fellowship Grant:
For Non-GATE candidates: 1st and 2nd Year: Rs. 14,000/- p.m. Contingency: Rs. 12,000/- p.a. H.R.A. as per university rules.
3rd, 4th & 5th Year: Rs. 16,000/- p.m. Contingency: Rs. 25,000/- p.a. H.R.A. as per university rules.
For GATE candidates:
1st and 2nd Year: Rs. 16,000/- p.m. Contingency: Rs. 12,000/- p.a. H.R.A. as per university rules.
3rd, 4th & 5th Year: Rs. 18,000/- p.m. Contingency: Rs. 25,000/- p.a. H.R.A. as per university rules.
No separate interview call letters will be dispatched. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
