Haffkine Institute is a one of the oldest biomedical research institutes in the country. It was established in 1899 and is named after the scientist (Dr. Waldemar Mordecai Haffkine) who invented the plague vaccine. Since then, Haffkine Institute has emerged as a multi-disciplinary Institute engaged in training, research and testing of various aspects of infectious diseases.

National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS)

Chemotherapy Department
No. of apprentices : 02
Discipline : Chemistry, Bio analytical, Pharma, Biotechnology & any subject of allied science

Zoonosis Department
No. of apprentices : 02
Discipline : Zoology, Biotechnology & any subject of allied science

Duration of Apprenticeship Training : 01(One) Year

Stipend per Month (Rs) : 9000/-

Minimum Education Qualification
• Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
• Candidate should have passed all the previous semesters of his graduation and should have passed the qualifying semester of his graduate examination after March 2022.

• The eligibility, stipend and reservation for SC/ST/OBC & other in the apprenticeship training as per the Apprenticeship Act-1961 and amended from time to time. Since this training is governed under Apprentice Act, 1961 as amended from time to time, there will be no further extension/employment after completion of the apprenticeship training. Applicant will follow all the rules and regulations as decided by Haffkine Institute.
• Selection will be purely based on final marks in graduate degree examination.
• Cutoff of selection will be decided by the Institute.
• Lobbying of any kind will result in disqualification of application.
• Scrutiny committee will be appointed by Institute & Directors decision will be final.
• Application after the last date will not be considered.
