The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Post : Senior Research Fellow (No. of post= 01)
Application are invited on plain paper for the contractual post of Senior Research Fellow in a SERB funded project entitled “Pharmacotherapy induced early-stage biomarker for Alzheimer's Disease” under Dr. Ajay Prakash Associate Professor. Department of Pharmacology, PGIMER, Chandigarh - 160012. The post is purely on contract basis.
Qualification : Postgraduate degree in basic science or Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship and GATE
b) The selection process though National level exams conducted by central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions like DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, NISER etc.
c) 2 years of Research experience is mandatory along with above qualification
Desirable : Experienced of working in a clinical project, knowledge of in silico drug discovery, in vitro and molecular techniques
Age : As per SERB norms.
Pay Scale : As per SERB norms.
The above appointment will be purely on temporary basis.
