The AIIMS, New Delhi model will be adopted and adapted. Unlike the Postgraduate Institutes which lack the basic departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology etc, the new AIIMS will have these departments as well as the superspecialty departments like neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, urology, endocrinology etc.

Qualification : Essential Qualification :
Post graduate degree in basic science OR
Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR- UGC, NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, USER etc.
PLUS 2 - YEARS RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Desirable Qualification:
Experience in nanoparticle fabrication, biomolecule conjugation, knowledge of chemical reactions, and analytical characterization techniques include HPLC, XRD, FTIR and NMR.
