The institute was established as Regional Research Institute (Ayurveda) on February 19, 1981 as peripheral unit under the Central Council For Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS) and started functioning along with the facilities of OPD, IPD and Mobile Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) Pathology and Bio chemistry Laboratory at Lucknow. The institute was upgraded and renamed as Central Research Institute (Ayurveda) on February 1997 by merging various units.

This Institute intends to engage services of Senior Research Fellow (Ayu.) under the Research Project entitled - “Tribal Health Care Research Project” purely on contract basis, initially for a period of Six Months which may be extended at the discretion of the competent authority.
Pharmacist (Ayurveda) - 01 Post
Qualification : Diploma in Pharmacy/ D.Pharm. (Ayurveda) from recognized University/ Institution with two years experience in recognized Ayurvedic Hospital or B.Pharm (Ayurveda)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 27 years
Monthly Remuneration : Rs.16,000/-

Senior Research Fellow (Ayurveda) - 02 Post
Qualification : Essential: BAMS from recognized University. Desirable: a) Preference will be given to those who possess higher qualification or who have previous research project experience i.e. having worked for any research project funded by Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, and CSIR, DST or equivalent organization. b) Skills of drafting editing of scientific documents/ articles/ technical reports etc. c) Publication in peer reviewed journals. d) Working knowledge of computer applications.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years
Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 35,000/- Plus HRA
Date & Time of Written Test and/or Interview : 23-04-2022 at 10:30 A.M.
General Conditions
1. The eligibility of the candidate in respect of age will be determined as on 01-01-2022 (Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. Rules).
2. The candidate who is selected for the above post has to go for tour to any place in A&N Islands. He/she will get TA/DA as per the rules.
3. The engagement will be purely on contractual basis for six months and no claim for continuation or regular appointment will be entertained.
4. Applicants should bring duly filled-in bio-data cum application form available on CCRAS website (ccras.nic.in) with a set of self attested certificates, mark-sheets, category certificates, experience certificates etc along with their original certificates and two recent passport size photographs.
5. The candidates are required to report at 09:00 A.M. (for SRF Interview) and 02:00 P.M (for Pharmacist) in the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Chakkargaon, Port Blair.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
7. Extension of tenure may be considered on need basis and performance of the incumbent.
8. The Officer In-charge, RARI, Port Blair reserves the right to postpone and/or cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason.
