NIPER Joint Entrance Examination 2022 for Ph.D

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) created as a Centre of Excellence for imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and management is the first Institute of its kind in the country. The Institute was declared as an Institute of National Importance by Government of India through an Act of Parliament, notified on 26th June 1998. The Institute is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. During the years 2007 and 2008, Government of India established six more NIPERs.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The Doctoral research programme of the institute is classified into the following three disciplines.
• CHEMICAL SCIENCES : Includes departments of
i) Medicinal Chemistry

iii) Pharmacoinformatics
iv) Pharmaceutical Technology (Process Chemistry)
• BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES : Includes departments of
i) Pharmacology and Toxicology
ii) Biotechnology
iii) Pharmacy Practice.
• PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES: Includes departments of
I. Pharmaceutical Analysis
II. Pharmaceutics
III. Medical Devices
IV. Regulatory Affairs
• Pharmaceutical Management : Includes department of Pharmaceutical Management.

HOW TO APPLY
1. Applicants shall apply online on niperhyd.ac.in as per instructions given on the website. The process of online application shall commence on April 4, 2022, onwards and will continue till May 03, 2022.
2. Instruction for Registration is available on niperahm.ac.in website.
3. Registration Fee for Gen/OBC/PH Rs. 3000/- SC/ST Rs. 1500/-
Note : The transaction charges will be applicable as per RBI circular No. DPSS.CO.PD.NO 1633/02.14.003/2017-2018 dated December 06, 2017. Rates as per RBI will be applicable
for campaign period.
4. Candidates appearing for final qualifying examination (including NET-JRF) can also apply but they must produce final result on the day of interview failing which their candidature shall be rejected.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Admission to the Ph.D. Programme will be based on the combined merit obtained by a candidate in the entrance examination and interview. Interview of the eligible candidates for the Ph.D. Programme will be conducted based on the merit in the entrance examination. The candidates should attend the online Interview on scheduled date and time. Candidates will be allowed to participate in Interview, only if they upload the requisite documents as mentioned in “Documents to be uploaded” head (Section 13 of this brochure) and have to upload the proof of having passed the qualifying degree examination. Note: No wait-list will be there after allotment of the seats (post counselling).
