Manipur University was established on 5th June 1980 under the Manipur University Act. 1980 (Manipur Act 8 of 1980), as a teaching-cum-affiliating University at Imphal with territorial jurisdiction over the whole of the state of Manipur and it was converted into a central university w.e.f. 13/10/2005. The Manipur University Act No 54 of 2005 received the assent of the President on 28/12/2005.
Applications are invited for the appointment of the following positions of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), New Delhi, GOI funded project “DBT-BUILDER-Manipur University- Interdisciplinary Life Science Programme for Advance Research and Education” (Sanction No- BT/INF/22/SP45400/2022 Dated 14th March, 2022).
Project Scientist (Level-1)
Eligibility/Qualifications (As per DST-GOI) :
a). Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
b). The candidates from Life sciences / Pharmaceuticals with the knowledge of molecular biology techniques is preferable.
c). Candidates with the background of Instrumentation Sciences are preferred for those having Engineering or Technology Master degree.
Salary / Emoluments : Rs. 56000/- + 8% HRA* (Rs. 60,480/-) and increment if 5% every 2 years of experiences
Scientific Administrative Assistant
Eligibility/Qualifications (As per DST-GOI) :
a). Graduate in any discipline
b).The candidates with the basic knowledge of computer skills like Microsoft word, power points, Microsoft excel etc. is preferable.
Salary / Emoluments : Rs. 18000 + 8% HRA*
Technical Assistant
Eligibility/Qualifications (As per DST-GOI) :
a). Graduate (B.Sc) in sciences / or 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology
b). The candidates from the life sciences background with the basic knowledge of handling scientific equipment and computer skills like Microsoft word, power points, Microsoft excel etc. is preferable
c). Candidates with the background of Instrumentation Sciences are preferred for those having Engineering or Technology diploma degree.
Salary / Emoluments : Rs. 20000/- + 8% HRA* and 15% increment after 3 years
General Terms and Conditions

3. The duration of the project is 5 years or co-terminus till satisfactory progress of the candidate which will be evaluated every year.
4. The PIs reserves the right to shortlist suitable candidates. Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for interview via email/or phone. The interview shall be held either in offline/online or blended mode.
5. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
6. HRA* will be given only when no accommodation facility is provided to the fellows by the University.
