Post : Product Development Manager, Skin Care Cluster Team, South Asia

Job Description
• Develop product & process solutions, lead platform
• Provide formulation inputs for developing claims & demo tool kits for respective brands
• Ensure that local insights and legislative requirements are fed into global innovations
• Ensuring compliance to internal Unilever protocols with respect to commitment to safety, environment, claim support, specification management etc.
• Identify & support value improvement opportunities for Skin portfolio of products.
• Lead digital agenda as per scope
• Addressing consumer complaints / FDA or regulatory queries (if any) along with operating company teams and provide technical inputs for various Skin Care projects gate meetings

• Technical inputs to finalize the concepts / AW & IBC claims. Plus ensure regional legal/ regulatory/patent & SEAC/micro clearances in line with the networks. On time stakeholder engagement and management.
• Partnering with Claims team and ensuring all the projects are cleared appropriately.
• Providing sound understanding to project teams on trends and competitive environment to identify new growth opportunities for Skin Care.
• Driving functional excellence & increase knowledge base within the team
• Providing technical inputs for challenges, war games, and support challenges with advertising councils, consumer bodies and in court as needed
• Managing, coaching and development of R&D personnel, supporting them in the execution of the regional activities related to function.
• All the technical support with respect to formulation and process expertise are given to the R&D partners in BSPAN countries.
• The incumbent is also expected to contribute into GLOBAL SKIN CARE SPRINTS

Skill/ Experiences
• Understanding of R & D Processes and Protocols
• Working knowledge of process science and technology
• In depth awareness and hands on experience in managing R&D projects
• Understanding the consumer habits & needs
• A good understanding of testing methodologies (in vitro and in vivo) used to assess product performance
• Good appreciation of digital tools for agile R&D
• Experience in providing technical content for PR activities

Candidate Profile
• Post Graduate with knowledge of chemistry (preferably Pharmacy/Science/ Chemical engineering)
• 10+ years of experience, Chemical Engg./Cosmetology/ B. Pharm
• Functional skills (Working Knowledge to Fully Operational in key skill areas)
• Strong background/experience in R&D (ideally BPC)
• Understanding of Project Management Principles
