Applications are invited for Junior Research Fellow at NIMHANS

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up JRF post on contract basis in  the  SERB  funded  project  entitled  “Neurosteroids and  Mood  Disorders:  Investigating  the Role of Glucocorticoid System in Modulating the Effects of Finasteride"-under the guidance of  Dr.B.N.Srikumar,  Associate  Professor,  Department  of  Neurophysiology  &  Principal Investigator   and   Dr.B.S.Shankaranarayana   Rao,   Professor   of   Neurophysiology   &   Co-Principal Investigator.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Educational Qualification : MPhil in Neurophysiology / Neurosciences OR Master’s Degree in Neurosciences / Physiology / Life Sciences / M.S. (Pharm) or M.Pharm. in Pharmacology or Biotechnology or equivalent Master’s degree with good academic record
Research Experience : 1-2 years of Research experience in Neurophysiology / Neuroscience / Neuropsychopharmacology
Desirable Experience : Experience in evaluation of behaviors in rodents, ex-vivo electrophysiology, pharmacological assessment, stereotactic surgery in rodents, neurohistology

Maximum Age Limit : 28 years (Age may be relaxed for exceptionally meritorious candidates) Emoluments : Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA pm
Duration of the post :Three years Initial appointment will be made for one year, extendable every 12 months up to 3 years or till the end of the project, based on the performance of the candidate
