Post : Principal Scientist /Associate Scientific Manager I/II
Analytical & Characterization
Method development, qualification and sample analysis for multiple Analytical techniques. Participate in cross-functional activities such as method transfer, structure function relationship studies etc. Learning and executing new techniques, as required.
• Thorough understanding of Protein Biochemistry
• Advanced knowledge in HPLC/UPLC based analytical separation techniques
• Knowledge of CE and/or Mass spectrometry and/or higher order structure analysis techniques will be a plus
• Should be capable of troubleshooting the experiments as required
• Previous experience in working with Insulins and/or Mabs will be a plus.
Qualification: Masters in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Pharmacy/any other related field with 6-8 years of relevant industrial experience or PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Pharmacy/any other related field with 0-3 years of relevant industrial experience or post-doctoral research in relevant field.
Downstream
The candidate will be part of the purification team and will be responsible for developing and characterizing purification processes to be scaled-up to the manufacturing facility. This role requires operating in a matrix team environment of purification process scientists. This includes managing their productivity, training and development to ensure maximum efficiency. Planning, design and execution of experiments using DoE approach, for process development and characterization, of purification operations (Chromatography and Filtration), scale – down studies and deviation investigation. Compilation, trending and statistical analysis of experimental data for evaluation. Analytical thinking to modify and plan future course of experiments is expected. Handling and trouble- shooting of purification systems (Akta Explorer, Avant), ultrafiltration membranes and filtration assemblies.
Qualification : M Tech / M.Sc. Biotechnology, Bioprocess technology, Biochemical Engineering Candidate should have 3 – 7 years’ experience in purification process development and process characterization.
