The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research addressing the basic mechanisms involved in body's defence to identify modalities for manipulation of the immune system to provide protection against diseases and understand mechanisms that can be used to target disease processes for intervention. The institute’s research thrust areas under immunology and related disciplines cluster in four main themes, namely, infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development, where cutting edge research in modern biology is being carried out.

Educational Qualifications:
Research Associate: Ph.D/M.Pharm having three years research experience in protein purification and characterization of bio-pharmaceuticals process development.
Senior Research Fellow (Project): M.Sc in Biological Sciences with two years of research experience, the candidate should have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’ (NET), as per DST Guidelines.
Office Assistant (Project): Graduate Degree in Office Management & Secretarial Practice and having Diploma/Certificate Course in Computer Applications with two years of experience in the similar field in the government Dept.
Job description:
Research Associate: Protein over-expression in bacterial system, purification using chromatographic techniques and biochemical characterization; structure-based inhibitor design.
Senior Research Fellow (Project): Candidates with exposure to immunological assay, adjuvants and characterization of biopharmaceuticals.
Office Assistant (Project): The candidate should have good typing speed along with working knowledge of computers. Experience at governmental/semi-governmental set-up on project coordination and handling is essential.
Emoluments:
The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute rules, depending upon qualifications & experience
Research Associate : Rs. 49,000/- per month consolidated plus 24% HRA
Senior Research Fellow (P): Rs. 35,000/- per month plus 24% HRA

Office Assistant : Rs. 25,000/- per month (Consolidated)
