Merck Limited (formerly E. Merck Limited) was set up in India as the first Merck subsidiary in Asia in 1967. The Company operates both its Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals businesses in the country.
Merck was also the first Merck Group Company to go public in the year 1981. The Merck Group now holds 51% of the share capital in Merck Limited, while the remaining 49% is traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. and National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. Merck Specialities Pvt. Ltd., the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of Merck KGaA, was incorporated in 2005.

Job description
You are responsible for the execution-driven project management (delivery from stage 1 to launch) and for the technical aspects (formulation, analytical, packaging) of a number of projects assigned to you. You translate marketing product briefs into concrete product specifications, development plans, and ensure these are in compliance with country-specific marketing and regulatory requirements and solve directly all technical issues to deliver projects on time with a robust execution plan. You estimate development costs, internal resources and update relevant databases, create project development plans and timelines in the management tool, monitor projects at suppliers to ensure robust development and internally communicate progress, and are the internal authority on assigned projects. You prepare the technical documentation (e.g. Target Quality Profile) according to each phase of the project, review validation of analytical methods, manufacturing processes, stability protocols/data results, analytical/production transfers documentation, technical/quality data and ensure timely launches of new products.
Candidate Profile :
- You have a PhD or MSc in science and spent at least 5 years in formulation, analytical or product development with 2+ years of hands-on laboratory work
- You are highly results driven, have strong scientific acumen, are creative, and can independently lead new product development in the field of food supplements or pharmaceutical products.
- You have a good understanding and appreciation of the commercial and marketing aspects of business.
