Job Summary:
The key purposes of this role and respective responsibilities are the following:
-Provide consistency of outsourcing practice across regions, functions and suppliers
-Ensure effective & balanced supplier and internal relationships
-Foundational processes to support metric, forecasts, budgets and invoice management across suppliers
-Monitor supplier performance parameters; metrics, workload forecasts, surveys, scorecards & document management
-Standardize supplier processes and infrastructure to support GRAAS Governance support and oversight
Key Responsibilities:
Lead appropriate governance structures across supplier types
vision and oversight of supplier deliverables
May provide on-site subject matter expertise, guidance and direction to India-based suppliers in real time; support training of suppliers

Develop supplier teams by leveraging good communication skills, quality principles and ability to mentor
May provide on-site monitoring of completion of work in accordance with service level agreements (SLA’s) and contracts, and developing, implementing and resolving CAPAs

Develop SOWs; work with Sorucing on RFP/RFI, manage SOW changes
Review and approve metrics and targets for supplier
Provide technical expertise and guidance to suppliers, with minimal supervision
Additional Responsibilities:
•Develop periodic executive management operational review and provide input into materials
•Identify, resolve, track and document issues; resolve business / financial / productivity or site operations issues with suppliers
•Oversee the design and publishing of surveys and scorecards as needed
•Lead recommendations and create new processes that are aligned to defined results
•Implement best practices across supplier types and teams within Amgen, monitoring of completion of work in accordance with service level agreements (SLA’s) and contracts, and developing and implementing CAPAs.
•Oversee financial oversight activities to include annual budget, periodic estimates of budget, and workload estimation activities; convert workload estimates into financial estimates

Candidate Profile :
• BA/BS/BSc or RN
•7 years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 3 years of biopharmaceutical drug development experience (obtained working at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)
•Experience at, or oversight of, drug development suppliers (CRO’s, central labs, imaging suppliers, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
• M.D., D.O., PhD, PharmD, Master’s Degree
• 9 years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 6 years of biopharmaceutical drug development experience (obtained working on at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)
• Previous management experience of direct reports, including management level staffKnowledge:
• Experience working in a global, matrix organization
• Knowledge of Quality Management, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines, and international regulatory requirements/guidelines
• Extensive project management/project planning experience
• Proficiency in anticipating and resolving problems
• Experience writing and presenting clearly on scientific and clinical issues
• Experience leading teams in a matrix environment
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory skills
• Professional collaboration and leadership skills
