Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for a project assistant position under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored research project (Project No. EMR/2016/001113), New Delhi “Development of Intracellular Fluorescent Metal Ion Sensors and Subcellular Targeting”
Project Description: The project is highly interdisciplinary in nature and will involve strategic synthesis of fluorescent molecules for targeting specific organelles in live cells and selective sensing of metal ions. The project fellow is expected to be able to synthesize and characterize molecules along with culture cancer/non-cancer cells in biosafety level II laboratory.
Eligibility: First class M.Tech. or M.Sc. degree in Chemistry/Materials Science/Biotechnology /Nanotechnology related subject with knowledge in material synthesis and cell culture. GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET qualified candidates are preferable.
Stipend:
Project assistant will be paid consolidated salary based on the following salary structure of the SERB for project assistant Category Emoluments per month
Year 1 : Rs. 12000 + 20% HRA
Year 2 : Rs. 14000 + 20% HRA
Year 3 : Rs. 14000 + 20% HRA
Duration: The appointment is purely temporary and is initially for a period of one year which may be extended upto 3 years based on performance. The position is co-terminus with the project.
