Applications are invited on temporary basis from eligible, enthusiastic and motivated candidates for the post (one) of a Project Assistant (Category: SC) under Department of Science & Technology (DST) funded research project entitled “Study of bacterial nucleoid-associated proteins (NAPs) and their roles in nucleoid organisation and regulation of gene expression” sanctioned to Dr. Payel Ghosh, DST INSPIRE Faculty at the Department of Biotechnology, University of Pune.

Post: Project Assistant (Category: SC)

Total Post: 01 (ONE) - SC [If SC candidate is not available, the post will be valid for other categories]

Duration: 1 year (likely to be extended till the tenure of the project)
Qualifications: The applicant must have a good academic record (minimun- 55% marks) with M.Sc./B.Tech in Biotechnology /Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Zoology/Life Sciences.

NET/GATE/SET qualification is preferred.

Working experience in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology and sound knowledge in basic computer programming, Internet, Linux etc. is desired.

Total emoluments: Rs. 12,000/- p.m. (consolidated) will be paid as per the rules

The suitable candidates will be called for interview by email/ telephone after short-listing. The interviews will be conducted at the Dept. of Biotechnology, University of Pune.
