Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, a research institute under Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, invites applications from the suitable candidates for the following positions for its extramural research project funded by DBT. Prescribed application format is available at the Institute’s website or from the receptionist of the Institute. Research Associate 1 (One)
Duration: 3 (three) years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier
Emoluments / Consolidated pay: Rs. 22,000/- + 10% HRA
Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences /Zoology / Fishery / Animal Sciences / Physiology / Biotechnology or any relevant discipline with at least 55% marks and Ph.D Awarded in the relevant field or should have submitted the thesis (with documented proof). Desirable: Candidate should have the research experience on “fish model” with a proof in the form of publication
Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow 1 (One)
Duration: 3 (three) years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier
Emoluments / Consolidated pay: JRF @Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd year
SRF@Rs. 18,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 3rd year for NET/GATE/BET/BINC Qualified candidates
OR
JRF@Rs. 12,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd year
SRF@Rs. 14,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA for 3rd year for non NET/GATE/BET/BING
Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences / Zoology/ Fishery / Animal Sciences / Physiology / Biotechnology or any relevant discipline with at least 55% marks.
Desirable: NET / GATE/ equivalent candidates will be given preferences.

Project Assistant
Duration: 3 (three) years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier
Emoluments / Consolidated pay: Rs. 8000/- fixed per month
Qualification: Candidate must be educated upto 12th standard.
Desirable: Knowledge of computer will be preferred.
1. The above positions are purely temporary and co- terminus with the project. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment either to IBSD, Imphal, RCIBSD, Sikkim or DBT, New Delhi.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. The name of the position applied should be clearly written on the front of the envelope.
4. Application form must accompany self attested copies of certificates and marksheets which is essential for preliminary screening. Failure to enclose these documents with application will result in direct rejection of the application form.
5. The upper age limit for applying award of Research Associate shall be 35 years which is relaxed upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST, Women, Physically Challenged and OBCs.
The upper age limit of JRF shall be 28 years and Project Assistant shall be 25 years age and relaxation shall be as above.
