About the University & Puri Foundation
The University and Institute of Advanced Research (UIAR) is one of the premier leading research University of the Country. The Puri Foundation for Education in India has set up its first center of excellence “Indian Institute of Advanced Research” in 2006 with a vision to carry out research in the frontier areas of science to contribute towards the advancement of human knowledge and the alleviation of human suffering. The School of Biological Sciences & Biotechnology offers cutting edge research and education in Biotechnology & Biological sciences. The University is associated with three renowned visionaries, founder Prof. N.R. Puri, world leading entrepreneur, Hon. Narendra Modi ji, former Chief Minister of Gujarat and current Prime Minister of India, and late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, who formally inaugurated it on 28th April 2006. The University was established under the “Gujarat Private University Amendment Act 2011”. The mission of the university is to conduct fundamental / applied / analytical research in the frontier areas of science with the ultimate objective of contributing to high quality basic research and human resource development, and to find application of the research results for the benefit of mankind.

About the Symposium
Cancer is the second leading cause of the death worldwide and socio economic burden in the society. During the past decade remarkable progress has been made in cancer research and therapy, but still gray box remains unopened. The aim of the symposium is to bring together scientists, clinicians and students to share their knowledge and stimulating research in area of cancer biology for therapy and prevention. The symposium will provide a common platform for exchange of new knowledge, ideas and it helps to conduct collaborative research for battle with cancer. We are delighted to announce the “National Symposium on Current Research in Cancer Biology & Therapy” on 7-8 October, 2016 at School of Biological Sciences & Biotechnology, University & Institute of Advanced Research, Koba Institutional Area, Puri Foundation, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

University has School of Biological Science & Biotechnology, Center for engineering and enterprise, Leadership and Business School and offers choice based credit program in various disciplines of biological sciences and humanities including

The Puri foundation for education in India offers various fellowships to Ph.D. PG and UG students to promote education and research in India.
