Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University is a pioneer Pharmaceutical institution recognized Nationally & Internationally for imparting highest quality in education since its establishment in 1956. The Department has proved itself in producing pharmacy graduates with sound scientific and technical background and has emerged as a centre for providing versatile post graduate training and conducting advance research in the field of Pharmacy.
Department has credit to have more than 1560 graduates, 776 postgraduates and 120 Ph.D.s and have published more than 550 research papers in various International and National Journal which speak of its contribution in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
ABOUT NATIONAL SEMINAR
New Drug discovery is highly technical, costly, and time consuming task to which Pharma profession is directly related. In current scenario discovery of new drug molecule required around 2 billion and 15-20 long years to bring a new medicine to market. Hence the regulatory affairs in Pharmaceutical Industries in India and abroad are becoming important for filing the registration for Investigated New Drug (IND), New Drug Application (NDA), Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA), other information on Patent, Trademark, Intellectual Property Rights play important role in Drug Discovery, lead compound optimisation as well as the formulation development of new and existing off patent drug molecules. The introduction of product patent and process patent has also significant impact on drug discovery and formulation development. In the present seminar, the issues of formulation development & regulatory affairs will be discussed by eminent resource persons.
