India's internationally renowned The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (1949) has blossomed from the Baroda College (1881) which is one of the oldest centre of learning in western India. MSU is the only state University with a residential, unitary character having 14 Faculties, 3 Constituent colleges, 2 Institutions and 8 Centers of specialized/advanced studies. The University offers 98 PG courses, 66 Ph.D. programmes, 39 PG Diploma courses and 88 UG courses with an option from 347 programmes. More than 200 students are currently enrolled in Ph.D. programme. Recently, University is ranked at tenth place in the list of India's best universities by India Today and at sixth place by Hindustan Times.
About the Faculty: The Faculty of Technology and Engineering as it stands today formed along with the establishment of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in 1948 is an outgrowth of what was popularly known as the "Kala Bhavan Technical Institute" (KBTI) established in June 1890 by his late Highness The Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III of Baroda State. Faculty has 14 departments, a workshop, a library and several buildings due to the support mainly from UGC and aided by UNDP, USAID and Government agencies. In May 2015, it completed 125 years of glorious services for the cause of Technical Education.
ABOUT THE SEMINAR:
Technology and engineering translate scientific knowledge into real action, but innovations in science and technology often require further research into materials, devices, and processes. Rapid advancement in chemical, physical and biological sciences continue to expand our horizon of knowledge of science and technology. The importance of role of technology and engineering research for scientific investigations in recent times, the objective of the seminar is based. The seminar is also providing a platform for researchers, scientists, engineers and technocrats to exchange their ideas and achievements.
Themes of the Seminar: RSST-2016 is planned to focus on contemporary research in the advancement of Science and Technology in recent times. The deliberations of the Seminar will cover the following topics:

Call for Papers
Abstracts maximum up to one page (300 words) in the related field are invited from scientists and researchers for oral and poster presentations. The soft copy (in MS Word format) of the abstracts can be sent by e-mail indicating the e-mail ID of the corresponding author to rsst2016@gmail.com Abstracts should be submitted on or before 14th February 2016
