Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, a constituent of CSIR is a leading research Institute in the area of chemical sciences. The core strength of IICT lies in Organic Chemistry, and it continues to excel in this field for over six decades. The research efforts during these years have resulted in the development of several innovative processes for a variety of products necessary for human welfare such as drugs, agrochemicals, food, organic intermediates, adhesives etc. More than 150 technologies developed by IICT are now in commercial production.
Invitation:
The organizing committee warmly welcomes your interest and participation in this international symposium. We look forward to many opportunities for the exchange of ideas and information during this period. We are hopeful that in addition to the scientific activities, the surrounding of glorious Hyderabad will make your trip memorable.
Theme of Programme
Nature assembles complex bio-active structures, which inspires the chemist to synthesize these challenging molecules in the laboratory. In this process various developments in identifying the novel reactions have been made. The compounds isolated from the natural source play a key role in chemistry and biology. Further, the natural products also serve as versatile starting materials in asymmetric synthesis. Besides, they become handy tools to biological sciences in understanding the modulation of biological pathways, which can provide novel drug targets for disease management. Thus, the nature inspired chemistry plays a pivotal role in the development of affordable drugs for the Human Healthcare. The conference presentations focus on the recent chemical trends inspired by the nature. This conference is also aimed at bringing the knowledge of Industry and Academia together. It provides a platform that enables the Academicians, Scientists and Researchers from Pharma Industries for useful interactions and fruitful collaborations in chemistry.
