ABOUT THE ICMR
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world. The Council promotes biomedical research in the country through intramural and extramural research.
PREAMBLE
Bioanalysis is employed for the quantitative determination of drugs and their metabolites in biological fluids and plays a significant role in the evaluation and interpretation of bioequivalence/ bioavailability, pharmacokinetic (PK), and toxicokinetic (TK) studies in clinical research. It is recognized that bioanalytical methods and techniques are changing and improving constantly, and in many instances, they are at the forefront of the technology. It is also important to point up that each bioanalytical technique has its own characteristics, which will vary from analyte to analyte. Bioanalysis is a progressive discipline for which the future holds many exciting opportunities and challenges to further improve sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, efficiency, assay throughput, data quality, data handling and processing, analysis cost and environmental impact. The present conference will provide insight to students and researcher fraternity related to the emerging trends in bioanalytical method development, validation along with the regulatory aspects, high throughput instrumental techniques and advancements like LC-MS as well as applicability in clinical research in terms of BA/BE studies.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective is to focus on various guidelines for bioanalytical method development, validation and application to drug analysis in biological matrices. Sessions will cover new technologies, emerging trends and challenges in bioanalysis as well as bioanalytical method development and validation for BA/BE studies along with regulatory aspects.
RESOURCE PERSONS
Eminent resource persons from the academia and industry will deliver in-depth information in the scientific session.
