About Program
DoP, SV organized 1st Pharmarendezvous in 2013 with a theme “Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences". In 2016, we came with 2nd Pharmarendezvous with a workshop on "Role of Clinicians and Pharmacists in implementation of Pharmacovigilance" and a seminar on "Cancer treatment - A Global Challenge". In 2019, we are organizing a 3rd Pharmarendezvous with a theme "Healthcare Management of Respiratory Diseases by Physicians and Pharmacists". As it is well known that, respiratory diseases are the 4th leading cause of the death worldwide and predicated to be third by 2030 in India. Among the respiratory diseases, tuberculosis, COPD, asthma and sleep apnea are the major disorders responsible for high mortality rate. The chest physician will address the problems of drug resistance tuberculosis, COPD, asthma sleep apnea. Secondly scientists and academician from the field of pharmacy will address newer form of targeted drug delivery system which can target only the affected part of the body, since the present system many anti-tubercular drugs, anti-cancer drugs and drugs for asthma can cause severe adverse reactions due to their interaction with other systems of the body. This National seminar is organized for Two days. During these two days, series of lectures will be delivered by Physicians, Scientists and Pharmacists. The sessions will also be followed by panel discussion and poster as well as oral paper presentations by the students.
