ABOUT SPP SPTM
Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy & Technology Management (SPPSPTM), established under the auspices of SVKM'S NMIMS in 2006 is a pharmacy school which offers Doctoral, Postgraduate, Graduate and Diploma Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It pioneers in postgraduate and graduate courses integrated with Healthcare Management. The curricula designed by the school nurtures and develops young minds into responsible Pharma professionals who will contribute ethically to the future of Pharma Industry, Hospitals, Community, Society and Health-care system at large. SPPSPTM has received the presgious Category Award “Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Awards” in MSME Scale Service sector by the Bureau of Indian Standards, The National Standards Body of India, and Govt. of India.
ABOUT IPS
Indian Pharmacological Society (IPS) was formed in 1966, with two main objectives, viz., integrating pharmacology in medical education and to work for all round development of pharmacology. At the Fifth IUPHAR held in San Francisco in July 1972, IPS was declared official National Society of Pharmacologists of India. In July 1975, IUPHAR Council Meeting was held in Helsinki and IPS was authorised to send delegates to represent India. Since then, IPS has marched ahead and grown from year to year. There are at present more than 1500 Life Members hailing from academics/research institutions/industries.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Indian Pharmacological Society is completing 50 glorious years. In view of these celebrations, IPS had organised a series of year-long conferences at different places launching the celebrations at 49th Annual Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society & International Conference -IPSCON- 2016 from 20th - 23rd Oct, 2016 at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.
The inaugural of these celebrations happened at Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society with the theme: "From small molecule medicines to biologics - Shifting paradigm in drug therapy"- 13th - 15th February, 2017 at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Patna, which was followed by regional conferences-
1. Eastern Region Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society, - ERIPSCON 2017 - 23rd & 25th March 2017 at Vijaya Institute of Ph. Sciences for Women (VIPW), Vijayawada, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.
2. Southern Regional Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society - SRIPSCON - 2017 - 3rd - 5th July, 2017 at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pillaiyarkuppam, Pondicherry.
3. Western Regional Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society WRIPSCON - 2017 - 19th August, 2017 at B.J. Medical College, Ahmadabad, Ahmedabad Management Association, ATIRA Campus, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Marg, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
4. Northern Regional Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society - NRIPSCON - 2017. - 31st August to 2nd September, 2017 at KIET School of Pharmacy (KSOP), Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh
ABOUT THE THEME
Given the challenges that we face in today's world, especially with reference to antibiotic resistance and human quality of life, developing safe and effective medicines has become a daunting task. Now it has become imperative to engage the researchers from different fields and clinicians together in the drug development / discovery programme and scholastic programmes, which will ensure that the pharmacological discoveries / inventions / workforce created can solve these challenges. In tune with this concept, the theme of the conference is "Integrating Pharmacology with Modern Healthcare".
