About NGSMIPS
Nitte Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NGSMIPS) was established in 1983 with a view to provide job-oriented professional courses in Pharmacy. The NGSMISPS is a constituent college of Nitte University. The college is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and the UG Programme accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The Institution is ranked 18th position among Pharmacy colleges declared by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The College offers B. Pharm, M. Pharm, Pharm.D and Ph.D. programs in Pharmacy.

About Department of Pharmacy Practice
Dept. of Pharmacy Practice was established in 2010. The Department provides not only clinical pharmacy training to its students but also services to healthcare providers at the 1200 bed Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital. The Department has expertise in diverse areas such as Drug Information Services, Patient Counseling and Education, Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring, Drug-Drug and Drug-Food Interactions Monitoring, Assessment of Evidence for Therapeutics, etc.
