CDSCO has taken serious action against companies which were alerted by WHO for suspicious activities and involved in production of hazardous products in the market.

WHO has issued alerts in three cases of syrup products exported from India. Subsequent to the reports, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) in coordination with State Drug Controllers carried out joint investigations.

The Indian government has taken a dominant step towards treatment of patients suffering from rare diseases. So far in this fiscal year, the government has allocated Rs. 92.84 crore for treatment of rare diseases.

As per the data available with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 9,675 patients have been enrolled since November, 2019 on the portal of National Registry for Rare and Other Inherited Disorders (NRROID) out of which 4,408 patients are from centrally governed Hospitals.

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health.

Shree Dhanvantary Pharmacy College is a pioneer educational institute and research center in the south Gujarat region. The institute is located on a sprawling campus of 8.32 acres in Kim. Shree Dhanvantary Pharmacy College has built its own credentials in a short span of 10 years.  The institute caters to students opting for B.Pharm., M.Pharm., and Ph.D. The institute is offering postgraduate degrees in leading branches of pharmacy like Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Quality assurance, and Pharmaceutics.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was performed by the former Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Chandra Shekhar on 20 January, 1991 in Sector 32 on the quilt of 36.09 acre of land allotted by the Chandigarh Administration. Construction for this College and Hospital started in 1991 itself. In the meantime Government Medical College started functioning from Prayaas building, Sector 38, Chandigarh with General Hospital, Sector 16 as an attached teaching hospital.
