AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the SIX NEW AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed.

National Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, University of Mumbai (NCNNUM) has undertaken R&D and Training Programmes to meet some of the challenges of nanotechnology development. University of Mumbai will focus on a) R&D in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology leading to industry-ready technology and b) Development of human resources to implement the technology.

Nutan Education Trust a trust founded by Shri J. R Patel - a man with exemplary vision. Pharmacy College Rampura-Kakanpur was a result of his deep-rooted convictions in the importance of quality education. A teacher training college was the first of a string of educational institutions he went on to establish under the aegis of Nutan. He believed that if teachers are trained rightly, the students will get an opportunity to learn better.

Seven Hills College of Pharmacy (SHCP) was started in 2007 as an institution exclusively specialized in pharmacy education by Global Vision Educational &Welfare Society (Reg. No. 296/2005). Presently the college is offering B. Pharmacy, Pharm.D, Pharm.D (PB) and M. Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Seven Hills College of Pharmacy is a one-step solution for all the higher education and research requirements of pharmacy students.

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
