University of Hyderabad is setting up a Bio-incubator Nurturing Entrepreneurship for Scaling ecologies (UoH-BioNEST), with the support of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), a Government of India Enterprise under DBT, Ministry of Science & Technology. The incubation facility is being located synergistically in School of Life Sciences. It will have excellent laboratory facilities and essential equipment facilities for use by the start¬ups. Besides the advanced facilities of School of life Sciences will be available on payment basis to the start-ups. This facility will focus on new and emerging technologies requiring multidisciplinary inputs in the areas of Biosciences and Biotechnology and shall nurture early stage start-ups and facilitate translation of knowledge-base into commercialable products and processes.
