The government proposed a new set of rules for dealing with right to information requests, complaints and appeals and asked for suggestions to the public before April 15. The proposed rules to replace the 2012 ITR rules have been placed by the Personnel and Training Department (DoPT) on its website for public comment.
Since after setting stent ceiling prices on February 14, 2017, the drug price regulator has so far received 40 written complaints against major hospitals.

Cipla Ltd, a global pharmaceutical company, announced that it has received final approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Abacavir and Lamivudine Tablets USP, 600 mg/300 mg, from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).
