Karnataka State Women's University, established in 2003 in the city of Bijapur is the only Women's University in Karnataka dedicated exclusively for women's education. It is recognized under 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. Seventy women's colleges spread in twelve districts of North-Karnataka are affiliated to this University. The University offers various UG programmes leading to Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Commerce, Education, Fashion Technology, Home Science, Physical Education, Science and Social Work. It also offers 20 P G Courses, P G Diploma and Certificate Courses in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce and Management, Social Sciences, Science and Technology and Education.

Qualification:
i. An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and/or ISBN/ISSN numbered books and the University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals/books hosted in the website of the University.
ii. A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in University/College, and/or experience in research at the University/National Level Institutions/Industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level;
iii. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process.
iv. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in its Regulations.

An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field who has made significant contribution to knowledge.
Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur invites applications for the following Backlog teaching posts from the eligible candidates in (eight) 8 sets in prescribed proforma. The candidates those who are applying for the posts should enclose all attested copies of certificates along with DD drawn in favour of Finance Officer Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur-586101. Along with DD for Rs. 1500/-for Professor Post, Rs. 1000/- for Associate Professor, and Rs. 500/- for Assistant Professor respectively. The applications along with the documents and Demand Draft should reach to the Registrar, Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur on or before 21-10-2013 by Registered post A.D. Candidates may also submit their applications in person in the Inward Section and obtain acknowledgment. The incomplete application will not be considered.
