The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) took birth as National Tissue Culture Facility in March 11, 1986 with a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Pune campus, Pune.
During its transformation, the centre has undergone several changes to facilitate achievement of its goals. The centre has expanded its scientific charter to strengthen basic research in the areas of cancer biology, cell biology, immunology, genomics and proteomics.

Name of the Project: “Molecular pathways regulating ovarian Cancer Cell Properties” under supervision of Dr. Sharmila Bapat, Scientist ‘E’
Upper age limit: 35 Years
Qualification: Ph.D. In any branch of life science or equivalent degree or 3 years of research experience after MTech / MVSc / M. Pharm as demonstrated by Peer Reviewed Publications.
Month emoluments: Rs. 22,000/- + 15% HRA P.m.
Tenure: Three Years.
Post: Post Doctoral Fellow (One Post)
Name of the Project: “An Insertional Mutagenesis System to Identify Epigenetic Factors that control Embryonic Stem Cell Differentiation” under supervision of Dr. Nibedita Lebka, Scientist ‘E’
Upper Age Limit: 35 Years
Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of life science or equivalent degree.
Experience in Mammalian Cell Culture and Developmental Biology Sound knowledge on molecular tools and recent advancements.
Should have Good Verbal & written Communication skills. Candidates with experience on stem cells will be preferred.
Month Emoluments: Rs 22,000/- + 20% HRA p.m
Tenure: Three Years.
Post: Senior Research Fellow (One Post)
Name of the Project: “Regulation of T Cell Development and Differentiation by Nuclear Matrix Protein SMAR1: its implication in Immune responses” under supervision of Dr.Samit Chattopadhyay Scientist ‘G’
Upper Age Limit: 32 Years
Qualification: M.Sc or equivalent with minimum of 55% marks in any branch of Life Science and two years of research experience after M.Sc. or equivalent.
Immunology / Tissue Culture and Molecular biology techniques / AFM / Bioinformatics.
Month Emoluments: Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA
Tenure: Two Years and six months.

2. Upper age limit will be considered as on the data of interview. Age Relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST/Women/Physically Handicapped and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per GOI rules.
3. Marks relaxation of 5% for SC/SC candidate’s i.e. minimum 50%marks.
4. Please being all original certificates showing date of birth, qualification, statement of marks of the exam passed & other relevant documents along with a set of attested copies.
5. SC/ST candidate should produce proof of their caste certificate from appropriate authority. OBC candidates should produce latest non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form for claiming the reservation benefits.
6. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
