Job Description:
Hilleman Labs is looking for profiles to fill the position of Associate Scientist, contributing to the accomplishment of Rotavirus Analytics of Mammalian Cell culture experience in a controlled sterile environment.
The Associate Scientist, reporting to Senior Scientist will be taking care of the Rotavirus Analytics and will be responsible for Cell Culture, molecular biology, and lab maintenance.
The key indicative functions for this position will be against the
Perform small and large volume cell culturing in the analytical group: plating, growing, splitting adherent cells
Perform QC assays including qPCR and immunostaining of cells
Perform lab and equipment maintenance.
Candidate Profile:
Ideal Experience
-
M.Sc/ MVSc (Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology) with 2-5 years relevant industrial experience
-
Molecular biology experience specifically with PCR/qPCR assays

Fluorescent immunostaining of mammalian cells; microscopy
Other Personal Characteristics
-
Good working understanding of the proper procedures and concentrations required to prepare buffers and solution for the laboratory

Strong organizational, record-keeping, and documentation skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment with multiple responsibilities
